SmartMenuScan Terms & Publisher Commitments

SmartMenuScan provides a free, paperless menu hosting platform (the “Service”). By accessing the dashboard, public menu pages, or APIs you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the restaurant you represent.

You must have legal authority to bind the restaurant or organization and you must be at least 18 years old.

Each owner receives secure access through Supabase authentication. You are responsible for safeguarding passwords, restricting access to authorized employees, and notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may disable accounts that are inactive, breached, or violate policy to protect diners, advertisers, and future network partners such as Google AdSense.

You retain ownership of menus, logos, and media uploaded to the Service, but grant SmartMenuScan a non-exclusive license to host and display them on QR pages.

You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with local laws and platform rules (no illegal items, false pricing, or copyright violations).

SmartMenuScan—not restaurant owners—manages every sponsored placement and any future AdSense inventory. Ads simply fund hosting, maintenance, and continued development.

We may reject or remove creatives that violate Google Publisher Policies or our standards. Restaurants agree not to interfere with ad rendering, tracking, or placement logic embedded in their menu pages.

SmartMenuScan is currently 100% free for restaurants. There are no pro plans, invoices, or revenue shares owed to us.

If we ever introduce optional paid features, we will provide advance notice and update these Terms before charging for them.

Reverse engineering, automated scraping, reselling access, or using the Service for malicious activities is prohibited.

We also prohibit content that violates ad network restrictions, including but not limited to: dangerous organizations, hateful content, or deceptive medical claims.

SmartMenuScan owns the platform, branding, and all related intellectual property. You may not use our marks without consent.

Feedback or suggestions can be used freely without obligation to you.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or jeopardize compliance with advertising partners.

Upon termination we may retain anonymized analytics, but will remove or anonymize personally identifiable data according to our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted QR scans, ad availability, or revenue outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmartMenuScan is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability will not exceed the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently ₹0 for our free service).

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled in Bangalore jurisdiction unless local law requires otherwise.
